Tea love and besties

Today, a rainy day in the middle of May I had tea with my best friend  in one of the coziest coffee shops around the area of the University of Costa Rica ; this coffee shop is called”Hoja de Aire” or Air Leaf in english and it was fascinating. There is something about a bunch of flowers, colorful plates, and wooden tables that can make you feel at home. Also, the good company has a lot to do with that. I ordered a ginger tea with honey and lime that was spectacular.

I hadn’t seen my friend in over 6 months and it was really refreshing to see her, we talked for hours and we could have gone on. My friend Mariela and I met around 4 years ago and we have been inseparable ever since. After our first year of friendship I left Costa Rica to go study in Arkansas and thank God for facetime and texting because we haven’t missed out on anything of each other’s life. Tea and friends definitely have a way of getting to your heart and warming it up on a rainy day, I had a great day and look forward to spending more time with Mariela this summer.
